Hotel Valdštejn is a stylish three-star hotel situated in the Růžodol I district in the northwestern part of Liberec. The three-star hotel provides all types of hotel services to guarantee the client's comfort, including the 1000 Inclusive Offer. This offer is particularly convenient for travelling business people, families with children and even travel agencies and their customers. The hotel is conveniently located within a short drive from an important motorway which connects Prague, Turnov and Ústí nad Labem with Germany.
The structural design of the hotel has been inspired by the architectural style recalling the remarkable period of the Thirty Years' War in the 17th century under the leadership of Duke Albrecht Waldstein. The interior is decorated in 17th century style and carefully combined with modern amenities, thus providing all the comfort a guest may expect. The hotel is located in a lighted park with beautiful trees and bushes. It has a car park (paved with interlocking pavers) with 27 car parking bays and a bus parking bay. 7 additional car parking bays are located behind the hotel (access through Růžodolská and Rolnická streets).
The hotel restaurant can accommodate 55 people. The Waldstein Tavern has a seating capacity of 44 guests, and a further 10 guests can be seated in a separate dining room. Both the hotel restaurant and the tavern are furnished in 17th century style. The hotel's summer terrace with a seating capacity of 30 is an ideal place to taste specialities from the grill.
Following a thorough reconstruction, the hotel opened in 1994 on September 26. It soon became renowned for its high-quality accommodation, calm atmosphere, wide selection of beverages and excellent cuisine, which specializes in traditional Czech dishes. Since 1994, many celebrities, including the current Czech President Mr. Václav Klaus, the pop group BONEY M and the FC Liverpool football team, have made use of the hotel's services.
